Valentine's Day Beauty: Soft Lips

whether or not to plan to kiss someone on valentine's day, having soft lips is always a must-have in my book. check out three of my personal faves for getting and keeping lips kiss-ready...

Motives by Loren Ridinger Lip Pumice-- to get rid of those dry, chapped lips, start with exfoliation. this little goodie contains pumice pebbles to gently exfoliate lips and comes in the form of a lipstick, so it's not super messy.

Pur~lisse Pur~Lip Comfort Daily Lip Nourisher-- once lips are properly exfoliated, moisturizing them is key. perfect for applying anytime of day, this fabulous lip conditioner contains mango and shea butters as well as vitamin E to hydrate and pamper lips.

CG Continuous Color Lipsticks in Golden Apricot and Rose Quartz

to add a bit of color without sacrificing a newly smooth pout, i love CoverGirl's Continuous Color Lipsticks. not only does the range have a really good selection of colors to choose from, but the lipstick themselves are uber-moisturizing.

tell me: what are your favorite lips products for keeping your lips feeling and looking smooth?

tried it, loved it: Motives 10 Years Younger Makeup Setting Spray

keeping makeup looking fresh and appearing as if you just applied it is always the goal. Motives Cosmetics' 10 Years Younger Makeup Setting Spray is one i've been using for the last month or so, and because it's so good, it has replaced the setting spray i used to use.

10 Years Younger Makeup Setting Spray keeps my makeup in place (which means fewer touch-ups), is hydrating (skin stays looking fab), and has the incredible ability of keeping makeup from settling into fine lines (i have fine lines...yes, they're small, some may say tiny, but trust me, they're there). i also love to mist my face at least twice during the day, after my initial post-makeup-application spritz, just as a skin refresher/pick-me-up-- ahh...

Motives by Loren Ridinger

Motives by Loren Ridinger is a company recently introduced to me, and i am happy to share that i am loving the products! apparently, the line has been reformulated and repackaged to take the brand to the next level-- all i can say is, great job!

all of the products i was given the opportunity to try have been very good to my skin and the makeup has delivered great pigment. i love the Pressed Eye Shadows-- they give intense, rich color (a little goes a long way!) that is easy to apply and blend, lasts all day and doesn't crease.

Motives Pressed Eye Shadows come in 47 shades. colors pictured clockwise from left: Foxy Brown, Pink Gold, Gunmetal and Purple Haze

Motives Pressed Pigment in Glow

also for eyes, Pressed Pigments are for adding dramatic color anywhere you want to add a bit of drama. a pop of color on the lids (or on the cheeks as i also tried it) really gives an all-out glam look.

the Luxe Creme Eye Shadows are award-winning, budge proof shadows that can be worn as natural or dramatic as you want them to be. the formula is so creamy and uber-blendable. i like to blend the one pictured above, called Metal, with other shadows to create more intense color, and it also works great for lining my eyes!

Motives blushes are available in 13 shades

i am really enjoying the color payoff and radiance of the blushes. Starlet, on the left, gives my cheeks a great burst of pink on my skin and Naughty, on the right, is a peachy-pink that looks subtle on me, and works great as a highlighting shade when i wear bronzer.

the best thing about the Lustrify Waterproof Mascara is not only that it volumizes, but it doesn't leave lashes feeling stiff and removes easily!

other products worth checking out are the Primer, Invis-Line, and Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation with SPF 15. the primer gives skin a smooth surface, helping makeup to last all day; Invisi-Line works amazingly for giving the skin around my eyes smooth finish, so when i apply powder to the area, it doesn't make me look older. last but not least, the Liquid Powder Foundation (available in 9 shades) glides on silky smooth, but has matte finish-- great for my oily skin!-- and the spf is a plus.

visit MotivesCosmetics.com for more info an the entire line, and stay tuned for more product reviews from this brand!

Motives Cosmetics to be featured on 'The Fashion Show' Finale

be sure to tune in tonight to Bravo's The Fashion Show -- not only to see four talented designers put together their own collections for your votes, but to see Motives® by Loren Ridinger featured as the makeup of choice.

Reco, James-Paul, Daniella and Anna (pictured, left to right) all dream of having their collections sold to the public (not to mention the sweet $125,000 cash prize), and it will take the right makeup to compliment their creations. Motives has been featured on Elle.com and in magazines like Latina and Everyday with Rachel Ray. the line offers everything from custom color liquid foundations, mineral powder foundations, blushes and bronzers to lip plumpers, anti-aging lip liners and eye shadow palettes matched to your eye color.

i have seen other brands featured this season, but this one i am unfamiliar with-- thankfully, the brand has reached out and i'll be able to bring you my thoughts on this very cool-sounding line of makeup in the coming weeks.

The Fashion Show airs tonight on Bravo at 10pm eastern time-- check your local listings.
