nail color of the week: Chanel Paradoxal

Paradoxal from Chanel comes from their new fall collection, and if you haven't already heard the buzz about this color, listen up.

you need to get this.

for fall 2010 the must-have shade-- it's unique and falls in perfect line with the taupe-grey-purple trend going on.

if you hadn't already gathered, i really love this new color...



that aside, the shade is a bit hard to capture on film. it even looks different on the nail than it does in the bottle. while it has an iridescent sheen in the bottle, it doesn't appear to be so on the nail. it's shimmery, but this dark grey-violet shade is not a glitter, and, in some light, even appears to be a creme. it's in a class by itself, i have to say. as you can see in my pics, it looks more purple, but trust me, in person, it's not. i bought mine at Macy's, but it's also available in fine department stores and online.

Chanel Summer 2010 Makeup Collection

spring is in full swing-- isn't it fabulous? i am loving all the vibrant colors and the cool breezes that compliment the warmer temps. with this time of year also comes the introduction of summer goodies. Chanel has a new collection available soon, and i am already liking what i see...

bold and audacious, Gabrielle Chanel pushed the boundaries of style...

to continue that tradition, Peter Philips has create a gorgeously free-spirited makeup collection. inspired by an idyllic seaside vista, the new collection, Les Pop-Up De Chanel, includes vibrant and fresh new hues for lips and nails that are sure to end up with a cult status. these energetic pops of color (including neon pink, sunny coral and brilliant turquoise) will be the perfect compliment to bronzed, glowing skin...not to mention will be the standout shades of summer. :)

nail color of the week: Chanel Lotus Rouge

i was at Neiman Marcus last week (i love their beauty department, of course!) to scope out the new Chanel collection (specifically the nail color Dragon), and found it wasn't quite the red i was expecting. i find that i like red nail polishes that lean more toward a berry tone-- Chanel's Lotus Rouge is definitely in that family. i think this creamy red (first released in 2007) is a fabulous shade of red, and would look great on any skintone.

nails: Chanel, the leader in nail colour trends, introduces two new shades of LE VERNIS Nail Colour: Intermezzo, a white pearl, and Gondola, a stunning maroon shimmer.


isn't this collection stunning?! and i don't even have all of the images to show you. well, i will tell you i definitely will be getting the nail polishes and tweed blush (so adorable), and i might splurge on the cream shadow quad...
